The Olympic Weightlifting Club is open to everyone, whether you are new to the sport or a seasoned professional. With the guidance of our amazing coach, Danny Nye, you will be assisted through a combination of power cleans, front squats, push jerks and power snatches. Although these peculiar names may seem a little overwhelming initially they soon become instinctive. After a few months of training, whether you are on the 2, 3 or even 4 day a week programme the opportunity to compete may arise although this is entirely optional.
